So thats another 8 miler under the belt. Did the hogganfield loch loop this morning and felt pretty good so stepped it up and threw in a bit of hospital hill action cos it’s nae bother tae me. I had the support team there in the shape of none other than Colin ‘Blackhawk’ Downie (an expert in touching the void style survival against the odds) who was on hand to carry my sweaty top when the going got tough and give me regular feedback on how fuckin cold it wis.

Felt pretty good on the way home and I couldn’t help wondering how impressed Tom Mckean would have been with my immense speed. Mckean was a legend in my book, I remember him having massive thighs and winning loads of stuff when I was wee but having nae luck at the big events like when he was disqualified at the 1988 olympics for being too hard for everyone else. I’ll do it in Paris for Mckean, reckon I’ve got a great chance of finishing in the top 25,000… watch this space.
If you feel the same way about Mckean as me, or if you just want to help out a good cause then pay a visit to me & Ali’s just giving charidee page . Any contributions are most appreciated.
